Technology Demonstration Brochure

EPA’s National Homeland Security Research Center (NHSRC) is teaming with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to demonstrate several radiological mitigation technologies for the early phase—the 72 or so hours—after a wide area release of radiological contaminants.  A release could be from a nuclear detonation, or a power plant accident.  Mitigation can help maintain responder capability and public services.  The demonstration was held June 24-25, included building and vehicle wash technologies, as well as high tech and low tech particle and liquid containment technologies.

The display was used to communicate to Battelle staff and visitors about the Technology Demonstration event.
